Transfer of Credit
Credits will be accepted from schools accredited by regional or state accrediting agencies. Credits from non-accredited schools will be accepted according to Board Policy JFABC.
The following criteria apply for credit to be given from a non-accredited school:
- All fees for the assessment will be waived.
- A course taught by an Arizona Department of Education certified teacher will be awarded credit after presentation of the teacher's certification.
- An assessment that has been developed based on the state standards must be passed if credit is given.
- The curriculum from the former school is presented and is aligned to state standards.
