This is an interdisciplinary course which integrates U.S. History and U.S. Literature. It is designed to show students the connectedness of art, music, literature, and history. Students will be actively involved in the learning process and increasingly assume more responsibility for their own learning. They will also learn to work cooperatively with others, be able to reach consensus, and apply their knowledge through various forms of representation. Opportunities will be provided to meet the needs of the different learning styles of students. Instruction will focus on making the material meaningful and the experience of learning fun.
