This rigorous course includes topics in both classical and modern physics. The basic ideas of calculus may be introduced in connection with physical concepts, such as acceleration and work. Understanding and application of these principles in the solution of problems are the major goals of the course. The course will include mechanics - 33%, kinetic theory and thermodynamics - 10%, electricity and magnetism - 25%, waves and optics - 15%, and modern physics - 17%. |
