It is important to be concurrently enrolled in a math class. Sophomores may enroll if they have completed Algebra 1-2A.

This course is a college preparation course for students interested in a career in science, math, or engineering. You will learn how to utilize the symbols of chemistry and related calculations and to explain the make-up of the world around us. The course covers four main areas of chemistry: symbols and equation writing with associated calculations, atomic theory, gas laws, and acid-base chemistry.
