Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Prescott High School Science Department to facilitate a well-rounded curriculum; to recognize individual learning styles, to promote a safe, productive, and enjoyable learning environment; to encourage and motivate all students toward the furtherance of their personal and/or academic potential; to foster intellectual curiosity and scientific literacy; to encourage integrity, understanding, respect, and appreciation for the world we share; to refine and enhance skills of critical thinking, of critical observation, of problem solving, of analysis and application of acquired knowledge and experience; and to maintain standards of accountability during the inquisition, acquisition, and application of scientific knowledge.
