May be used as 1/2 credit of the three required math credits
Prerequisites: Grade of C or D in Algebra 3-4 or a satisfactory score on the mathematics skills assessment

These courses are designed for students who are college bound and need to reinforce their pre-college math skills. The first semester provides for a review of most of the concepts taught in Algebra 3-4. Upon completion of first semester with a C or better, the student has the option to enroll in the second semester College Algebra Yavapai College dual credit course. The following course descriptions meet both Prescott High School and Yavapai College requirements.

INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA REVIEW
Simplifying polynomial, rational, and radical expression; solving quadratic, rational, and radical equations; introducing functions and their representations; applying mathematics in real-world contexts and using appropriate technology. (This course does not count as dual credit.)

COLLEGE ALGEBRA DUAL CREDIT
Students will conduct modeling of applications using linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions. In addition, an introduction to solving systems of equations using matrices will be covered.
