This is the first math course recommended for university-bound students. Topics covered include linear and quadratic equations and inequalities, factoring, matrices, and solving systems of equations. This course is designed for students who have a good grasp of basic arithmetic skills and are able to reason abstractly.

A scientific calculator is required and graphing calculators are allowed.
