This introductory class covers techniques of metal fabrication, leather, ceramics, and general sculpture. This curriculum will include history, origin, and preparation of clays; ceramic hand-built and wheel-thrown methods; glazing and firing of ceramic products; metal fabrication including piercing, soldering, and casting; various sculpture styles using a variety of media. Students will be expected to purchase, provide, or make some tools.
