| The course is project-based for the highly motivated and independent student. It begins with a thorough examination of the tools of photography, types of film and paper, darkroom equipment, chemicals, and darkroom procedure. Students will shoot weekly assignments, which continue throughout the course to allow students to compare their work on a given subject with others and to mature and grow in their photographic skills. Students must have their own camera with a manual settings capability. Cameras with f-stops f2 to f22 and shutter speeds from "B" to 1/1000 second and be able to be manually operated. Students should also have a flash unit, tripod, cable release, and set of camera filters. | |
