| This course is designed for students achieving at grade proficiency in both reading and writing. It includes a survey of literature, exploring selections from the past, as well as from contemporary works. Students will read short stories, poetry, novels, and a Shakespearean drama. Supplementary reading of both fiction and non-fiction will be required as outside assignments. Students will write compositions based on their reading, and effective expression will be encouraged through the writing of a personal narrative. | |
