This course includes instruction in the basic concepts of electronics, electrical quantities and units, basic circuits and measurements, circuit component ID, multiple-load circuits, and complex-circuit analysis. The course will introduce the student to safety procedures and practices used in electronic industries. Students will learn how to use basic hand tools, test equipment, and troubleshooting techniques. Other items of instruction include soldering and de-soldering techniques and other basic assembly skills. The course will stress hands-on projects labs throughout the year. Information relating to careers in the electronic field will also be covered.
