25 Jan 2008 ~ The ASLA PEN ~ “Go Do Great Things!!”
Congratulations
Congratulations to the Senior Cadets that went flying with the Arizona Air National Guard last Friday at Phoeniz / Sky Harbor airport. They flew at 24,000 feet in a KC-135 air refueling tanker and observed, close hand, F1-6s being refueled at 320 MPH. This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and the cadets got high marks for their manners from our hosts, the “Arizona Copperheads.” The good news is that no one threw up.
Congratulations to Cadets, Lienau and Agrait for being selected to compete for the national AF JROTC Honor Camp. The Honor Camp is intended for college bound students that want to pursue a military career. Out of 111,000 JROTC students, only 450 are selected to attend this free week. Last year, Cadet Ben Wright was selected from ASLA to attend. Good luck gentlemen in the national competition !!!!
Congrats to the students that became CPR and First Aid certified on 19 Jan 2007 at ASLA. A huge thanks to Prescott Fire Dept and Mr Knotek and Dr Krantz for volunteering their time to educate our cadets. A great lunch was provided by ASLA via tax credit funds.
